Fall Quarter Begins. Welcome back!

Welcome back, Everyone!

This past summer has ended quite nicely with most of the students participating in the formal Summer Theme Recitals at my Westminster Studio.

~ Thank You to all of the parents and siblings for being supportive and bringing in the refreshments.

~ Thank You to all of the participating students for being well-prepared to share your creativity and music making with your audience.

Last week on August 29th, we began the first week of Fall Quarter lessons. All of the students were excited to receive new music to work on and set new goals in their piano studies for this coming school year. I am very excited to continue the music learning and making journey with all returning / new students and parents!

~ The Calendar of Studio Events for the Fall and Winter Quarters has been sent via email. Please check your inbox. A copy of the calendar will be given to each student. You can also view the calendar here on the website (see right column). Events are subject to changes.

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back Everyone!  Hoping that you all had a fun and relaxing summer.  I am very excited to begin this new school year with you all and looking forward to what it will bring.

* The Fountain Valley Studio is moving!  Beginning mid-September, the studio is moving to a Westminster location (near the cross streets of Magnolia and Heil, right off of 405 fwy).  The studio will be sharing a space with Alpha Advanced Tutoring Center.  All private lessons and upcoming musicianship classes will take place at the Westminster location.  All families and students will be notified in advance when the official change of location will occur.

The new studio address is: 16441 Magnolia St #A, Westminster, 92683

** After 5 years of the serving the Irvine Branch of Music Teachers’ Association of California, I am now sitting on the board of the Association’s newly formed South Coast Branch.  In this new school year, the South Coast Branch will be offering exciting events for all music students.  Branch events offered will include performance opportunities (such as competitive and non-competitive events), community service programs, and award ceremonies for accomplished HS seniors and CM participants. Please look at the 2010-11 Calendar of Events in your emails for more info.

Summer Quarter Ends…

We had a great End-of-Summer student recital yesterday! It was a nice turnout with the 19 students presenting music based on the Water Theme. Even though that none of the students actually got wet, but I believe that we were all soaked from listening to all different types of music related to water. I hope that all of the students have enjoyed listening to music and sharing their music with each other, playing games, and getting goodies!

Few announcements:

* This week (August 23 – 29th) is the Studio Break, no lessons are scheduled.

* Fall Quarter lessons / new lesson times will be begin next week on August 30th.

* More info along with an updated Studio Calendar of Events and students’ lesson schedules will be sent out this week via email or mail.

Have a great week!
