Bio
Laura Chang holds dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, Irvine in piano performance and psychology. Her background includes 24 years of classical piano training and 6 years of flute playing in ensembles. She studied piano under Dr. Lorna Griffitt, Dr. Aija Kim, and Pamela Worcester. She is an active member of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC). Currently, she is continuing her education in Masters in Piano Pedagogy (the study of piano teaching) in California State University, Fullerton, and studies with Professor Alison Edwards.
Laura has more than a decade of teaching experience in piano. She maintains the LC Piano Studio in Westminster, California. Her students have ranged from pre-schoolers to adults, and she has taught at all levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Her students have placed in festivals sponsored by MTAC Irvine Branch and SYMF competitions. She is committed to instilling dedication, self-expression, motivation, and a sense of confidence in students through focused musical study.
